FANTASY - Fantasy - SWE Flawed Gems - LISTEN - VERY RARE

This is not a British band, but a progressive, slightly bluesy outfit from the States with a single album, released by Liberty in 1970 and now reissued by Flawed Gems. The American Fantasy is a very eclectic combination of psychedelic style with a pinch of blues and jazz and a typically progressive (quite British) delivery! Quite long tracks, nice guitar solos, ubiquitous, heavy Hammond organ tones and a really nice female vocal! Typical 1970! And there is a surprise... It turned out that the first track on the record, Blues Creation/Carmen Maki's "I Understand", was composed by none other than the 16-year-old vocalist! Highly recommended!
