Reissue of a brilliant (unreleased in its day) psych-progressive masterpiece with TWO MISSING TRACKS FROM THE SAME RECORDING SESSION, UNPUBLISHED ON CD (because thought lost)! One of these tracks had appeared earlier in a DEMO version on a withdrawn CD as a bonus and that version has been added as well! What a pity that this great, progressive (recorded at the end of 1968) material did not come out on vinyl - as was planned! The story of this album is in the text printed in the gatefold sleeve (CBS and Polydor wanted to release the record; the manager outbid and the matter fell through and the band broke up); in any case it is a classic on a par with the records of Andwella's Dream, Arcadium, Czar or Arzachel! In short it is a rock mass (four tracks lasting 9-10 minutes each and two of 5 minutes) of a mystical, but decidedly rock, progressive character (slightly oriental, lightly jazzy organ, flute, a solid, swinging rhythm section, at moments sharp guitars, little vocal) - somewhat resembling early Jethro Tull, The Moody Blues and The Nice - combined with Pink Floyd of 1968 and with a pinch of the Electric Prunes of the LP "Mass In F Minor". The sound is better than on most records. Oh, on one track on the record guitarist Steve Hackett guested (with great power!), and drums were played by David Dowle - later in Brian Auger & The Trinity and Whitesnake... I highly recommend this truly original record to all lovers of British playing of 1968-69 and at the same time assure you of 100% satisfaction! The sound quality is perfect - slightly better than on the previous CD! AN ABSOLUTE MUST!
