BOB SMITH - Visit (2LP) - EU Tapestry Limited Press - LISTEN - OSTATNIE SZTUKI

A solo album from 1970 by the American vocalist and guitarist Bob Smith, recorded with the participation of, among others, Don Preston, playing Mellotron and synthesizer - known from playing in Frank Zappa's Mothers Of Invention. Musically it is very nice, richly arranged, American psychedelic rock with quite sharp - at times almost heavy rock - playing from the leader, interesting entries of flute and Mellotron and occasional, but very distinct, violin parts. The album has a somewhat garage sound which in my opinion suits this music perfectly and only adds to the mood... A very good record that can certainly be counted among the classics (though quite broad) of American psychedelic-garage rock! The original, double vinyl once came out on the Kent label with an enclosed poster and is today a much sought-after rarity worth 0. 2013 reissue, in a rigid gatefold sleeve, sealed.
