BLACK WIDOW - Sacrifice + Live At Beat-Club 1970 (2CD+DVD) - GER Repertoire Digipack Edition - LISTEN

A three-disc German reissue (2CD + DVD) of the sensational debut album by the British band, released in March 1970, containing plenty of progressive playing (guitar, organ, saxophone, flute, numerous changes of mood) in the vein of early Jethro Tull and Atomic Rooster. The DVD contains a recording of a 60-minute show on German television (Beat-Club), where the band played the entire album "Sacrifice" in full - and in a heavily extended form at that! The DVD picture is black and white, but nicely restored. The spectacle itself (without an audience) is genuinely fascinating - including a dancing, naked girl who is sacrificed at the end... A must!
