AFTER THE FIRE - Signs Of Change +4 - UK Angel Air Expanded - LISTEN

Debut and surprisingly successful album, released privately in 1978, by a British progressive formation playing a classic variety of symphonic rock (Hammond organ, moog) in the vein of ELP, Yes, Genesis, Flash and Druid. The band was formed in 1971, hence all six compositions have a fairly original form. After a change of line-up, the next records sounded decidedly new wave and are better avoided. The great debut, however - by all means!
