RARE EARTH - RARE EARTH - Get Ready - EU Music On CD Edition - LISTENprice: 70,00 PLN / 17,50 EUR
An excellent second album by an American group that was very popular in the early 70s. Solid, gently swaying rhythms, plenty of Hammonds, quite sharp guitars, a little blues. All covers of other people's compositions (including Traffic and Savoy Brown), among them a brilliant, strongly swinging 21-minute version of "Get Ready" by The Temptations. This is an excellent, classic record!!! Highly recommended! (JL) -
RARE EARTH - RARE EARTH - In Concert - US Lake Eerie Digipack Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Excellent live album - a double on vinyl (only 8 tracks). A chunk of juicy, rocking, swinging playing with very digestible elements of soul. Personally I cannot stand soul but early Rare Earth I almost adore! Perhaps because it was a white band after all and played a little differently... American digipak edition. A must! (JL) -
RARE EARTH - RARE EARTH - Get Ready / Ecology (1969-70) - US Lake Eerie Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
The second and third, that is, the best albums by the group, on a single CD. Solid, gently swaying rhythms, plenty of Hammond, quite sharp guitars, plenty of covers (including a track by Savoy Brown) - among them a brilliant 21-minute cover of "Get Ready" by The Temptations. Very underrated albums in Poland and, all in all, an underrated group! A must! (JL) -
RARE EARTH - RARE EARTH - In Concert - US Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
An excellent live album - double on vinyl (only 8 tracks). A slab of juicy, swinging rock playing with very digestible elements of soul. Personally I cannot stand soul, but early Rare Earth I almost adore! Perhaps because it was a white band after all and played a little differently... American edition in a traditional case. A must! -
RARE EARTH - RARE EARTH - One World / Willie Remembers (1971-72) - EU Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Two more albums by an American band playing progressive blues-soul-rock - both still of a high standard!
