PATTO (see also: Timebox) - PATTO - Hanging Rope - BBC Sessions And Rare Tracks (1970-1971) (2LP) - FRA Verne Limited Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 170,00 PLN / 42,50 EUR
This limited, attractively presented double vinyl, lasting nearly 110 minutes, contains the best, rare, or unreleased material, from 1970-1971, by the British group Patto - one of the most esteemed (yet all in all underrated) formations of the early 70s today. Slightly jazzy, slightly hard rock - decidedly progressive material with the brilliant, sharp, but rather twisted guitar parts of Ollie Halsall - in almost every track! This musician, who died in 1992 of a drug overdose, is now fairly widely considered the best guitarist in British progressive rock! I think Robert Fripp "can't keep up"! What Halsall was capable of can be heard in the excellent, improvised, 15-minute "Hanging Rope" - probably the band's best track, which in its day... did not fit on the debut album (it is among the bonus tracks on the CD)! The vinyl also contains a 25-minute BBC radio performance (known from the bonus tracks of the third CD "Roll 'Em Smoke 'Em") - exceptionally played for two guitars - with a musician from the excellent progressive formation Jody Grind! Sensational! Besides that, more radio sessions and four tracks that did not make it onto the catalogue first two albums on the label Vertigo! The sound quality is perfect, except for two great tracks, lasting 17 minutes. A must! Condition: NEW, but unsealed. -
PATTO (see also: Timebox) - KUBEK Patto 1971price: 40,00 PLN / 10,00 EUR
These 'out of this world' figures appeared on the front and inside of the British vinyl sleeve of the LP 'Hold Your Fire', divided into three horizontal and specially foldable strips (being the moving parts of these little monsters) - again the work of the brilliant Roger Dean. High-quality mug with a durable, highly glossy print (9cm x 20cm) and a comfortable handle. Dimensions: 9.5cm - height, 8cm - diameter and 0.33l - capacity. -

This limited, 80-minute double vinyl contains the best, rare or unreleased material from 1970-1971 by the British band Patto - one of the most highly regarded today (but in fact underrated) bands of the early 70s! Slightly jazzy, slightly hard-rock - decidedly progressive material with brilliant, sharp, but quite twisted guitar parts from Ollie Halsall - in almost every track! This musician, who died over 20 years ago of a drug overdose, is now fairly widely considered the best guitarist in British progressive rock! I think Robert Fripp "can't cope"! Particularly worth singling out is the 25-minute BBC radio performance - exceptionally played with 2 guitars - with a musician from the excellent progressive band Jody Grind! Sensational! Besides that, there are more radio sessions (of great quality), and 4 tracks that did not make it onto the first two catalogue albums on the Vertigo label! Sound quality is perfect apart from 2 great tracks lasting 17 minutes. A must! -

PATTO (see also: Timebox) - PATTO - Hold Your Fire +3 - UK Repertoire Remastered Expanded Card Sleeve Editionprice: 80,00 PLN / 20,00 EUR
Remastered edition of the second album by an excellent, progressive band featuring one of the best rock guitarists of all time - Ollie Halsall. Fairly complicated playing that does not 'catch the ear' at once, but is very rewarding after a few listens. Repertoire card sleeve with three bonuses. Highly recommended! (JL) -

A remastered British edition with three bonus tracks! The excellent debut album by one of the most highly regarded (today) British progressive bands. Slightly jazzy, slightly hard-rock - a decidedly progressive album with brilliant, sharp guitar parts from Ollie Halsall - especially in the 10-minute "Money Bag"! Among the bonus tracks are an exquisite, improvised, 15-minute "Hanging Rope" (probably the band's best track) and two excellent studio tracks from the BBC archives (including the 9-minute "Love Me", not released on any record). A must! -

PATTO (see also: Timebox) - PATTO - Roll 'Em Smoke 'Em Put Another Line Out (+ BBC Sessions) - SWE Flawed Gems Remastered Expanded - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Remastered and expanded with brilliant studio and live recordings from the BBC archives - the third and last record by the cult, progressive formation with the excellent, though underrated, guitarist Ollie Halsall. Admittedly on the third album there was less guitar than on the earlier two titles (although the guitar solo in Loud Green Song simply kills!), but this problem was more than made up for by the 7 unreleased tracks (lasting 38 minutes) recorded for the BBC between November 1970 and March 1971. This is the best Patto material in existence! Both the 5 live tracks and both studio versions are downright breathtaking! Importantly, as many as 3 compositions (Beat The Drum, So Cold and Love Me) never appeared on any studio record! So even if the third album is slightly weaker, the additional material is simply essential! A MUST! -
