A fantastic album containing recordings not released on vinyl, made for BBC radio (including a Colosseum cover and two unreleased compositions) and alternative versions of several recordings from the debut sessions. MOGUL THRASH (see also: Colosseum / King Crimson) - MOGUL THRASH - Mogul Thrash +7 - SWE Flawed Gems Remastered Expanded Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Remastered Swedish edition, expanded by 35 minutes, of the only, but brilliant, album by the heavy-jazz-progressive group led by the former Colosseum guitarist/vocalist James Litherland. In addition two tracks from the monophonic single and five unreleased (and truly fantastic) studio tracks (including two planned for the unreleased second LP) from the BBC archives are included. Heavy, slightly jazzy moods, great, almost Hendrix-like guitars and incredible bass playing by the then unknown John Wetton! Long, for the most part instrumental tracks very much resembling a somewhat heavier and more rock-oriented Colosseum! Can one ask for more in the case of old prog rock? The album was produced by Brian Auger, who also played piano on the track "St. Peter". AN ABSOLUTE MUST! (JL) -
