FAIRPORT CONVENTION - FAIRPORT CONVENTION - Fairport Convention - EU Timeless Limited Press - LISTEN - LAST COPYprice: 200,00 PLN / 50,00 EUR
A great debut by one of the most important and most popular British bands. The clear influences of American psychedelic West Coast bands - especially Jefferson Airplane - could still be heard. The vocalist Judy Dyble later sang in Giles Giles & Fripp and Trader Horne. A 2008 edition limited to 500 copies. -
FAIRPORT CONVENTION - FAIRPORT CONVENTION - Liege And Lief +2 - UK Expanded Edition - LISTENprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Alongside the LP "Unhalfbricking" and both Trees records, this is probably the best album from the British folk-rock circle! A brilliant combination of folk tradition, rock sound and wonderful melodies. Sandy Denny rules! Two bonus tracks. Highly recommended! -
FAIRPORT CONVENTION - FAIRPORT CONVENTION - Unhalfbricking +2 - EU Remastered Expanded Edition - LISTENprice: 65,00 PLN / 16,25 EUR
Probably the best record in the band's discography. A totally crystallised style; great, shimmering (at times psychedelic) guitar parts from Richard Thompson; brilliant vocals from Sandy Denny; charming melodies. Two extras. -
FAIRPORT CONVENTION - FAIRPORT CONVENTION - What We Did On Our Holidays +3 - UK Expanded Edition - LISTENprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Released in January 1969, the second album in the discography, though the first with Sandy Denny (and with Ian Matthews - still on second vocals). You can still hear the influence of psychedelia and even blues, but this is already folk-rock. The superb Meet On The Ledge and Fotheringay. In their native Great Britain it is this album that is regarded as the group's peak achievement! There is something in that! 3 bonus tracks. A must!
