A brilliant album - the first with Dio on vocals. Heaven And Hell is incredible rock dynamite containing classics such as Neon Knights, Children Of The Sea, Heaven And Hell, Die Young and the sublime Lonely Is The World, which closes the whole. It is certainly an absolute classic and at the same time one of literally a few best heavy rock albums of 1980 (alongside records such as the debut of Iron Maiden, Ace Of Spades by Motorhead, British Steel by Judas Priest, Back In Black by AC/DC and Lightning To The Nations by Diamond Head). A two-disc, remastered 2022 edition, with bonus extras in the form of rare single versions and live versions. An absolute Must! -

OUT OF PRINT! LAST COPY! A limited, double, absolutely stunning black vinyl released (like all the double editions from Verne Records) in a very attractive, single sleeve and containing a 100-minute show recorded in New Jersey (for the famous American radio station King Biscuit Flower Hour) at the start of the tour promoting the LP 'Sabotage'! What more is there to say... Ozzy was in form, the band played very precisely and improvised a great deal (especially in the fantastic, 14-minute "Instrumental Jam"), and the setlist is a dream! This show is fairly widely regarded by fans as the best Black Sabbath concert of their career! Please forget the catalogue "Live At Last" (1973) or "Live Evil" (1982)! Asbury Park blows them out of the water! The sound quality is stunning (a real wall of sound) - the whole was mixed for the radio and it is hard to imagine a better recording of a mid-70s concert... An absolute must! -

A RED VINYL limited to 500 copies, beautifully released (laminated sleeve with nice, rare photographs of the band) containing what is in my opinion Black Sabbath's best concert of their entire career, since the band played somewhat harder than on the first two records but just as precisely! A classic, 52-minute performance from Brussels at the Theatre 140 on 3 October 1970 - also known from the excellent video and the classic CD "Come To The Sabbath". For years it was believed to be a recording from December 1970 from Paris, but years later it is known 100% that it is Brussels! Almost ideal sound quality - even better than on the aforementioned CD and better than on the earlier version from the Far Out label! An indispensable item for every serious fan of heavy playing! AN ABSOLUTE MUST! Condition: NEW, unsealed. -

A limited, great live CD from the Top Gear label, containing 80 minutes from the tour promoting the underrated (and very good) 1978 LP "Never Say Die"! Most of the recordings come from the performance in Pittsburgh recorded by American radio, but there are also two recordings from the Hammersmith in London. All the compositions have been joined into a single whole (without breaks) and almost the entire (apart from two fragments) set of recordings from this tour has been reproduced! The CD contains, among other things, a very rare version of "Shock Wave". Great sound quality! A must! (JL) -

A working-class sound, derived from hard rock and sharp blues played in poor, working-class districts. It was heavy metal, which was to become one of the most important varieties of rock and roll, and behind it stood none other than Black Sabbath. It is hard to overstate the influence of Black Sabbath, and especially of its leader, guitarist and composer, Tony Iommi, on contemporary music. At the age of fifteen Tony left school and joined the ranks of the working class to help support his family. However, such a life was not enough for him; he decided to leave the factory and pursue his dream of becoming a professional musician. Then his world collapsed. By a cruel twist of fate, on his last day at work, when he was about to set off on a tour of Europe with the best band in Birmingham, a sheet-metal cutting machine cut off two of Tony's fingers.
