ARMAGGEDON (GER heavy prog) - ARMAGGEDON - Armaggedon - EU Once Again Limited Edition - VERY RARE - LISTEN
price: 55,00 PLN / 13,75 EUR
This is a splendid German band which, for unknown reasons, has two "g"s instead of two "d"s in its name! So please do not confuse it with the British band with the album from 1975! The Germans' only record is a rather unique, heavy-progressive rock masterpiece based on the interplay of heavy, overdriven guitar, a powerful rhythm section, slightly Hendrix-like vocals and rather timid phrases on electric piano. The whole thing was inspired by recordings of Deep Purple, Spooky Tooth and Hendrix. In fact the band performed, among others, great versions of compositions by Spooky Tooth and the Jeff Beck Group. This record, released at the end of 1970, should satisfy most fans of early Grand Funk, Sir Lord Baltimore and the Australian Buffalo. After the break-up of Armaggedon guitarist Frank Diez played, among others, on the second Emergency album and on the debut of Atlantis. A must! Condition: New, sealed. (JL)
