IRON MAIDEN - IRON MAIDEN - Soundhouse Tapes And Rare Early Tracks 1978-1981 - SPA Top Gear Remastered Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Sensational! A CD limited to 500 copies containing rare or hard-to-find, single or compilation recordings by the band made in 1978-1981 with the first vocalist. I am from the old school, which values Paul Di'Anno more than (otherwise excellent) Bruce Dickinson, and the first two albums will never be beaten by the later titles... Above all, the greatest value lies in the tracks from the legendary EP 'The Soundhouse Tapes' - released privately in 1979 by the band on its own label Rock Hard in a run of 5000 copies and today in perfect condition worth up to 2000 euros. The only official CD version (a replica of the vinyl in a ginger cardboard sleeve - as on the cover of this CD) appeared in 2002 in a run of 666 copies and was available only to those lucky people who sent in coupons from the purchase of all the CD reissues together with an additional sum... 6.66 dollars. I have seen the CD with three tracks sold on eBay for 500-600 dollars, so it is probably worth risking buying this CD! In addition, plenty of superb, live and studio recordings from singles, EPs and compilations that have been hard to find on CD for years have been included, among them the entire maxi 'Maiden Japan' (in its five-track version), the very rare demo version of 'Running Free' (known from the German EMI single of 1980) and 'Strange World', from the same session as TST. The booklet includes, among other things, a copy of the back of the EP (with the original cut-out at the top) and reproductions of the full sleeves of the early singles! The sound is sensational - even slightly better than on the old editions! An absolute must! (JL) -

MOTORHEAD (Motörhead) - MOTORHEAD - Live In Glasgow 1982 - SPA Top Gear Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
LIMITED TO 500 COPIES, a Spanish, 80-minute CD containing a great and very good-sounding 65-minute show from the tour promoting the LP "Iron Fist" - recorded just before Eddie Clarke's departure. It is a very good, improved copy of a radio broadcast, so despite certain imperfections the sound is very nice, and the concert itself - exquisite! In addition, five superb recordings from March 1981 have been included (from the short tour from which the LP "No Sleep 'Til Hammersmith" later came) - including four versions that never appeared on CD, only on the vinyl EP included with the four-disc vinyl box set "The Best Of" from 2000! A must! (JL) -
NIGHTWING - NIGHTWING – Black Summer - UK Remastered Edition - UNIKALNY CDprice: 80,00 PLN / 20,00 EUR
"Black Summer" from 1979 is Nightwing's second album and at the same time their most recognisable release. The record combines classic hard rock with elements of the then emerging NWOBHM wave. The 2014 remaster improves the clarity of the sound while retaining the original atmosphere of the recordings. ONLY ONE COPY! New, sealed. -
QUARTZ (see also: Black Sabbath) - QUARTZ - Live Quartz - UK Dissonance Digipack Edition - LISTENprice: 50,00 PLN / 12,50 EUR
Recorded in December 1979, the LP "Live Quartz" is rather classic heavy rock (in the style of later Black Sabbath and Thin Lizzy) than metal, but it was precisely then that it all began to mix a little. An ideal thing for lovers of catchy guitar riffs and rather long solos! An edition in a digipak, from 2019. Recommended! -

RAVEN (UK) - RAVEN - Faster Than The Speed Of Light (3CD) - UK Hear No Evil Digipack Edition - LISTENprice: 140,00 PLN / 35,00 EUR
A three-disc compilation by one of the best and most influential bands of the NWOBHM. The first two CDs are live albums: "Live At The Inferno" from 1984, from the tour promoting the LP "All For One" and containing tracks from the band's first three, best records, and "Destroy All Monsters - Live In Japan" recorded on 13 May 1995 at the Citta club in Tokyo, where the band also concentrated on numbers from its early discography. The third disc is the album of covers recorded in 2014 - "Party Killers". It was made as a reward for fans who supported the band financially during an online fundraising campaign to record the record "ExtermiNation" (2015). It contains: Deep Purple's "Fireball", Thin Lizzy's "Bad Reputation", Cheap Trick's "He's A Whore", Budgie's "In For The Kill", Status Quo's "Is There A Better Way", Queen's "Ogre Battle", Edgar Winter Group's "Queen Of My Dreams", Nazareth's "Too Bad So Sad", Sweet's "Cockroach", Slade's "Tak Me Bak 'Ome" and David Bowie's "Hang On To Yourself". RAVEN (UK) - RAVEN - Over The Top! - First 4 Neat Records Albums 1981-1984 (4CD BOX) - UK Hear No Evil Expanded Edition - LISTENprice: 170,00 PLN / 42,50 EUR
Sensational! A four-disc box set with the first four albums (recorded for Neat Records in 1981-1984) by one of the best and most influential bands of the NWOBHM movement. Early speed metal with clear influences of 70s hard rock. All three studio records contain great bonus tracks, including a single with Udo (of Accept)! An absolute must! (JL) -
SAMSON (NWOBHM) (see also: Iron Maiden / Hackensack) - SAMSON - Bright Lights: Albums 1979-1981 (5CD) - UK Hear No Evil Recordings - LISTENprice: 190,00 PLN / 47,50 EUR
Sensational! A five-disc box set containing classic NWOBHM material recorded in 1979-1981. Samson played classic, at times heavily sped-up hard rock, still firmly rooted in the 70s (especially on the debut). The box gathers the first three albums ("Survivors" from 1979, "Head On" from 1980 and "Shock Tactics" from 1981 - the last two with the young and still hungry Bruce Dickinson), and in addition a live and excellent-sounding CD recorded at the Reading festival in 1981 has been included. That is exactly where Iron Maiden poached Dickinson! Important information for fans: in addition (for the first time on CD) the original vinyl mix of the LP "Head On", quickly withdrawn from the market, has been included, which I have known for many years and which in my opinion sounds better, more natural than the one known from earlier CDs! In addition the debut album was almost entirely redone (in 1979) with Dickinson's vocal track, some nice tracks from singles have been added and several recordings that were re-recorded after Bruce's departure in 1982 - already with a new vocalist (Nicky Moore of Hackensack). A must! -

For the first time on CD! A professional-sounding, 57-minute record containing a complete recording of a very nice concert that the band recorded on German television in May 1981, between the albums "Strong Arm Of The Law" and "Denim And Leather" - still with the drummer Pete Gill (later in Motorhead). The sound quality is excellent. A must for every metal fan, and especially NWOBHM! (JL) -

SKYCLAD - SKYCLAD - Prince of the Poverty Line + 3 - Deluxe Expanded Editionprice: 70,00 PLN / 17,50 EUR
This is one of Skyclad's most important albums and is often considered their peak period. Prince of the Poverty Line is a concept album about the social and economic decline of Britain after the Thatcher era. Musically it is a great example of early folk metal – heavy, at times thrashy guitars are combined with violin and folk melodies. A remaster + 3 bonus tracks, digipak and a 12-page booklet. -
