BEATLES, THE - BEATLES - Unreleased British Radio Sessions 1962-1965 (2CD) - EU Sweet Leaf Limited Edition - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 80,00 PLN / 20,00 EUR
This two-disc CD could easily be called "Live At The BBC Vol. 3". The limited discs, released in a stunning sleeve and lasting two hours (minus two minutes), collect 53 recordings - including versions previously unreleased on the official "Live At The BBC" (1994) and "On Air - Live At The BBC Vol. 2" (2013). The discs also contain tracks omitted on earlier Apple releases: "I Call Your Name", "I Should Have Known Better" and "The Night Before". In addition you can hear six recordings (in very average quality, but it's something...) performed live for BBC radio, in Manchester in 1962 - still with Pete Best (including "Dream Baby", "A Picture Of You", "Memphis Tennessee" and "Besame Mucho")! Generally the vast majority of the recordings are in perfect or very good sound quality! As far as I know, all the recordings have been corrected for tape speed, carefully denoised and improved as far as possible compared with the versions circulating among fans. I have listened to this record about twenty times and still can't get enough! AN ABSOLUTE MUST! Condition: New, sealed. (JL) -
BEATLES, THE - BEATLES - Live At The Star-Club, Hamburg, December 1962 - EU Sweet Leaf Limited Edition - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 55,00 PLN / 13,75 EUR
An album lasting nearly 80 minutes, splendid and priceless from the historical point of view, containing a unique performance by The Beatles (with Ringo Starr on drums) recorded at the legendary Hamburg club in the last week of December 1962. With the EMI-released single "Love Me Do" already to their name, the band had to play/work off performances contracted long before, and it is a musical delight for every fan of the Fab Four! Besides several tracks known even from the LP "Please Please Me", recorded a month later, the group performed a good many pop and rock and roll standards. The sound quality is very good (slightly better than on the original discs, first released in 1977), though not perfect, but everything can be heard excellently! The CD contains the unreleased, almost manic "My Girl Is Red Hot", as well as (as a bonus) "Money" performed by King Size Taylor And The Dominoes, the group accompanying the Beatles. The record will probably never be officially released, because, as a result of years of action by The Beatles, a court ruling withdrew it from the music market. A must! Condition: New, sealed. (JL) -
BEATLES, THE - BEATLES - At The Hollywood Bowl 1964-1965 (George Martin 1977 Mix) +14 - SPA Top Gear Remastered Expanded Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Very tastefully presented fan-club CD, limited to 500 copies, containing thirteen tracks from the official vinyl released in 1977, mixed by George Martin. In addition fourteen tracks from the same three concerts are included. Contrary to received opinion, it is a chunk of great playing with perfectly good sound. In my opinion "Help" sounds better than in the studio... The bonus tracks sound almost perfect. In my opinion this material sounds better (and certainly different) than the official edition, with just four bonus tracks, from the end of 2016. A MUST! (JL) -

VARIOUS ARTISTS - VARIOUS ARTISTS - We Can Work It Out - Covers Of The Beatles 1962-1966 (3CD BOX) - UK Strawberry Editionprice: 150,00 PLN / 37,50 EUR
A three-disc set containing tracks by The Beatles and those written by them for other artists, in versions by musicians from, among others, France, the Netherlands, the United States, Italy, New Zealand, Hungary and Puerto Rico. The range of styles is incredible, pop sits next to soul, bluegrass next to jazz, British folkies next to camp legends of Hollywood, and Hungarian gypsy guitar next to proto psychedelia. The whole thing in a rigid box, with a 36-page booklet inside. Highly recommended! (MU)
