PINK FLOYD - PINK FLOYD - Live In Oakland 1977 (2LP) - FRA Verne Limited Press - VERY RAREprice: 170,00 PLN / 42,50 EUR
A double album containing the legendary performance from Oakland, from 9 May 1977 - without a doubt the best-sounding concert from the tour promoting "Animals". As with the previous tour ("Wish You Were Here" from 1975) nobody connected with Pink Floyd professionally recorded any concert at the time. And again several performances were recorded by some miracle 'unawares' from the audience, and the Oakland concert is simply exceptional! The musical content is also simply stunning! The whole of "Wish You Were Here" (greatly extended, including the second part of the "Shine On" suite lasting over 20 minutes!), the whole of "Animals" (also changed/extended compared with the studio version) + two excerpts from "Dark Side". So, as in the case of Los Angeles 1975 or Montreux 1970, the concert, recorded among the audience on 'almost' professional equipment, sounds better than the vast majority of official recordings from the mixing desk. Nothing better on the subject of rare Pink Floyd from 1977 simply exists. Plus nice artwork. A must for fans of good playing! (JL) -

PINK FLOYD - PINK FLOYD - More - Soundtrack From The Film - AUSTRALIAN Columbia ('orange') 1973 Press - NEAR MINT VINTAGE VINYLprice: 250,00 PLN / 62,50 EUR
ANALOGUE SOUND! A very rare Australian 1973 edition of the band's third album, the most underrated record in Pink Floyd's career - beating hands down almost everything the band recorded in the 70s! At that time (1968-70) the band was at the peak of its powers - combining psychedelia with progressive rock in an unusual and innovative way, crowned by the live part of the LP "Ummagumma", released a few months later, and by the studio and live recordings made for BBC radio, known only from bootlegs. Sleeve: MINT- / Record, probably unplayed: MINT(-) -

PINK FLOYD - PINK FLOYD - Radio Sessions (BBC Session + Dutch Paradiso Live) 1969 - SPA Top Gear - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Another fantastic, fan-club CD lasting 80 minutes and containing four superb musical pieces from 1969 - all with sound of perfect quality! First a 20-minute, studio session recorded for John Peel in May 1969 - that is, in the period between the LPs "More" and "Ummagumma". The band made impressive use of the sounds of birds, wind, sea and so on and what is more simply played frenziedly! Right afterwards came the brilliant "Moonhead" - a 6-minute piece, never used in the studio, recorded live in the BBC studio in July 1969 - on the very day the Americans landed on the Moon. Then follows a 40-minute portion of a concert for Dutch radio - in ideal quality, but, as a result of a microphone failure, without vocals. Strangely, however, that is not a drawback at all, as most of the material is instrumental by nature anyway, and besides, at last you can hear all the nuances. At the end of the CD, as a bonus, is (until recently completely unknown) version of "Interstellar Overdrive", which at the last moment dropped out of the live part of the LP "Ummagumma". Together with a collection of nice photos from the period the whole thing looks exceptionally impressive! A must! (JL) -

ANALOGUE SOUND! A very rare, American edition from the mid-70s of the excellent, fourth in the discography, double album from 1969. Perfect condition. The gatefold sleeve is in excellent condition, with a slight crease on the bottom corner: MINT- / The records like new, played perhaps 2-3 times. MINT(-)/MINT(-) -

PINK FLOYD - PINK FLOYD - Live In Los Angeles 1975 (2LP) - FRA Verne Records Limited Press - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 170,00 PLN / 42,50 EUR
An excellent, limited double album containing the legendary two-hour performance from 26 April 1975 - without a doubt the best-sounding concert from the tour promoting the LP "Wish You Were Here". Oddly enough, the band, then at the peak of its popularity, did not professionally record any concert in 1975, just as no radio broadcast the band's performances. Fortunately recorded among the audience ('audience recording'), on professional equipment, the concert sounds better than the vast majority of recordings from the mixing desk. A similar situation to the brilliant "Montreux 1970", and also "Oakland 1977"... The sound quality is simply superb and listening to this record is simply a huge pleasure! Nothing better from Floyd in 1975 will ever appear on the market! Plus very nice artwork. The vinyls sound some 10% better than the attached YouTube material. A must for fans of the band! Condition: MINT, NEW, unsealed. (JL) -
CD
PINK FLOYD - PINK FLOYD - Live In Montreux 1970 (2CD) - SPA Top Gear Edition - VERY RAREprice: 85,00 PLN / 21,25 EUR
Fan-club, two-disc and absolutely brilliant recording, limited to 500 copies, of the Pink Floyd concert of November 1970 - just after the release of "Atom Heart Mother". Many consider this performance the band's best concert of their whole career - helped also by the fantastic sound quality! Reportedly the whole thing was recorded on two professional Uher tape recorders, placed six metres from the stage. And as the acoustics at the casino in Montreux were reportedly legendary, the whole thing sounds frenzied! This is the PF I adore most - still experimental, still enchanting with a psychedelic sound, but not afraid to 'lay into it' in an almost hard rock manner! The band was then at the peak of form, besides which in 1970 it had managed to work out in concerts an exceptionally juicy, full sound (with incredible parts from Gilmour and Wright) - even more intense than on the first, so excellent disc of the LP/CD "Ummagumma" - something almost impossible to imagine! Unfortunately, nothing from that magical year 1970 was commemorated on official records - well, perhaps with the exception of a few of the best passages of the suite "Meddle"... The next year the quartet also performed in Montreux, but with a somewhat different repertoire and a smaller dose of adrenaline. And two years after that it was already a rather different band... Recently this material has been somewhat improved (lightly de-noised - with slightly more bass and treble) and sounds truly impressive! In addition two bonus tracks from the performance of the following day (at the beginning of which Waters sarcastically greets the Swiss: 'Good morning'...). An absolute MUST! (JL) -

PINK FLOYD - PINK FLOYD - Live In New York, June 1975 (2CD) - EU Sweet Leaf Limited Edition - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 80,00 PLN / 20,00 EUR
A rare, limited two-disc CD containing an excellent 138-minute performance of 17 June 1975 - alongside the Los Angeles performance of April 1975, without doubt the best-sounding concert from the tour promoting "Wish You Were Here". Strangely, the band, then at the peak of its popularity (nor the label), did not professionally record a single concert in 1975, just as no radio station broadcast the band's performances. Fortunately, recorded among the audience (an 'audience recording') on professional equipment, the concert sounds better than the vast majority of mixing-desk recordings. Considering the circumstances of its creation, the sound quality is really great and listening to this record is simply an enormous pleasure! Probably nothing better from Floyd in 1975 will ever appear on the market! Additionally nice artwork. The CD sounds some 10% better than the attached YouTube material. A must for fans of the band! PINK FLOYD - PINK FLOYD - Live In Venice 1989 (2CD) - SPA Top Gear Limited Edition - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 85,00 PLN / 21,25 EUR
A very rare, limited double CD containing a sonically perfect, complete recording of the legendary, 90-minute concert in Venice on 15 July 1989. In addition, one track from the Knebworth 1990 festival. It is the best-sounding and best-looking version of this title ever released! A must! (JL) -

PINK FLOYD - PINK FLOYD - On Tour 1968 (Rome, May 1968 + Utrecht, May 1968 + Los Angeles, July 1968) - SPA Top Gear - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
A limited, European CD containing great, 80-minute live material from 1968 made up of fragments of three shows, recorded just before and just after the release of the LP "A Saucerful Of Secrets", made in June. The 25-minute show from Rome was presented on Dutch radio in the late 90s, so the quality is excellent. The 30-minute recording from Los Angeles (the band played before the main star - Jeff Beck Group) is slightly weaker, but very, very good, and besides the playing is stunning - especially the unique interpretation of "Interstellar Overdrive", where David sounds on guitar almost like Syd! There are also three unique recordings from the concert in Utrecht in the Netherlands, including a long version of "Let There Be More Light", the full "Flaming" and "Keep Smiling People", not published anywhere and known from one recording - which is an embryonic version of "Careful With That Axe Eugene". This (middle) part sounds very average (though quite clear), but it is invaluable to every fan of the band. Overall, this CD contains the best-preserved and very representative, almost complete live set by Pink Floyd from 1968! An absolute must! (JL) -

PINK MICE (see also: Electric Food) - PINK MICE - In Action / In Synthesizer Sound (1971-73) - LISTEN - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Under this name are hiding the musicians of Lucifer's Friend - this time combining instrumental heavy-rock in the vein of Deep Purple and Uriah Heep (and their own 1970 debut) with works of classical music. The first Pink Mice album is great, mainly because of the heavy (at moments) sound of the guitars - almost lifted straight from the LF debut. Unfortunately, the second record, released two years later (almost in a different era), was dominated by synthesizers and was much gentler and weaker than the debut - a typical bonus. Recommended! Plainsong is a folk-rock band formed by Ian Matthews (formerly of Fairport Convention) and Andy Roberts (Liverpool Scene / Everyone). "Following Amelia" is a six-disc set containing a reissue of their debut album "In Search Of Amelia Earhart" released for its 50th anniversary, remastered from the original master tapes, and half of the previously unreleased material, including several rare BBC recordings from the 70s and the whole concert from Folk Fairport in 1972 in Amsterdam. In addition, we have the album "Now We Are 3" recorded in December 1972, released only years later, as the band broke up soon after. It reformed in 1992 and the fifth CD contains the first concert from that period, from Mayrhofen in Austria from 1993. The sixth disc has, among other things, six tracks from "In Search Of Amelia Earhart" performed acoustically in 2020. The whole thing comes in a rigid box, with a richly illustrated, 44-page booklet inside. (MU) -
