METALLICA - METALLICA - Garage Inc. Promo Tour - Live In New York 1998 (2LP) - FRA Verne Limited Press - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 170,00 PLN / 42,50 EUR
A full edition, limited to 500 copies, on double black vinyl, of a superb, 100-minute Metallica performance (still with Jason Newsted), professionally recorded at the Roseland Ballroom in New York, in November 1998, during the tour promoting the brilliant album "Garage Inc.". It was the only time that Metallica played exclusively compositions 'that they would have liked to have written themselves' and the band sounded sensational! So there are recordings here by Budgie, Mercyful Fate, Black Sabbath, Queen, Mercyful Fate, Diamond Head, Thin Lizzy and others. Additionally three rare recordings from the performance recorded the day before in Philadelphia ("Killing Time", "Blitzkrieg" and "So What") are included! The very attractive, laminated cover contains several nice photographs, and the sound quality is simply excellent! Much better than the old VHS version from YouTube. This is an absolute must for all fans of heavy playing! Condition: MINT (NEW, UNSEALED). -

SLOUGH FEG (see also: Hammers Of Misfortune) - LORD WEIRD SLOUGH FEG - Twilight Of The Idols - ITA Dragonheart Edition - LISTENprice: 85,00 PLN / 21,25 EUR
I will confess honestly that in recent years nothing in music has grabbed me the way the work of this American band from California has! Released on vinyl in 1998 (and on CD in 1999 - with three more tracks), the second album in the discography was the first Slough Feg record I listened to and after the first ten seconds I already knew it would be a sensation! The band presented very clearly and naturally produced (though sounding almost as if made in the 70s) heavy rock with metal (and even progressive) influences - the kind that was played in 1978-83, that is, a combination of the style of early Black Sabbath, early Iron Maiden, the epic, traditional metal of Manilla Road and elements of Celtic folk and acoustic guitars. I mean superb, very memorable melodies, juicy, heavy, catchy guitar riffs (often as if lifted from "Master Of Reality" or "Vol. 4"), fairly extended, instrumental passages and of course plenty of changes of tempo and mood... A big plus of the band is the vocalist Mike Scalzi, blessed with a wonderful, magnetic and genuinely fantastic voice - at once leader and author of almost all the band's music. I would stake my head that every fan of heavier sounds will be delighted by this band's music and will not be able to tear themselves away from their records for years - just like me! Original Italian CD from Dragonheart. AN ABSOLUTE MUST! (JL) -

UNHOLY CADAVER (see also: Slough Feg / Hammers Of Misfortune) - UNHOLY CADAVER - Unholy Cadaver (2LP+CD) - ITA Cruz Del Sur 1st Press - LAST COPIES - LISTENprice: 200,00 PLN / 50,00 EUR
This is a double vinyl in a gatefold sleeve, with a single CD of the same material added (as a bonus). There is no other version. The core of the group were John Cobbett on guitar and Mike Scalzi on guitar and vocals (both played at the same time in The Lord Weird Slough Feg) and drummer Chewy Marzolo. The 60-minute material was recorded in 1998. In 1999 Unholy Cadaver turned into Hammers Of Misfortune (the name was taken from the 15-minute composition on this release) and as a result the CD "Bastard" came about. Musically it is a combination of black metal, progressive rock and traditional metal. Rather intricate compositions and a very dark mood. Excellent, professional sound quality. Inside there is a laminated insert. Recommended! Out of print, we have the last two copies! -
AYREON - AYREON - Into the Electric Castle (2CD) - Transmission Records - UNIKALNY CD
The 1998 two-disc edition of "Into the Electric Castle" by Ayreon is a concept album built around an elaborate science fiction and fantasy storyline, with numerous vocalists playing different characters. The music combines elements of progressive rock and metal with folk, electronic and symphonic influences. The compositions take the form of extended suites, with frequent changes of mood and rich arrangements in which guitars appear alongside keyboards, synthesisers and acoustic passages. Ayreon is an important release for fans of progressive metal and concept albums. Only one copy! New, sealed.
