EPITAPH - EPITAPH - History Box 2 - Polydor Years 1971-1972 (2CD) - GER MIG Editionprice: 120,00 PLN / 30,00 EUR
Two-disc compilation containing the albums released by Polydor: "Epitaph" (1971) and "Stop Look And Listen" (1972), together with bonus tracks. Epitaph began as a mixed British-German band, only later turning into an exclusively German one over the years. Released in 1971 by Polydor, the group's excellent debut album (with British vocals) contained a fairly thunderous dose of bluesy, catchy riff-based guitar, top-shelf heavy progressive rock (Mellotron, Hammond). The 1972 second album had an even more progressive, subdued character. A must! Condition: new, sealed. -

The third album by the German band, resembling somewhat the style of early Wishbone Ash (from 1973-74). A remastered German 2015 reissue, extended by seven tracks. -

EPITAPH - EPITAPH - Epitaph - GRE Missing Vinyl Limited Press - LISTENprice: 150,00 PLN / 37,50 EUR
Epitaph was at first a mixed, British-German band - only over the years transformed into an exclusively German one. Released in 1971 by Polydor, the band's great debut album (with British vocals) contained a rather thunderous dose of bluesy, catchy-guitar-riff-based, heavy progressive rock (Mellotron, Hammond) of the highest shelf. This record has been with me for the last 30 years and needs no recommendation! 2024 reissue, on black vinyl, limited to 400 copies. A must! (JL) -
