Karate (1972) is one of Breakout's most important albums, on which Tadeusz Nalepa develops the raw, strongly blues-rooted formula known from the earlier album Blues. Nalepa's characteristic guitar riffs and solos, Tadeusz Trzciński's harmonica and the sparing yet expressive rhythm section of Jerzy Goleniewski and Józef Hajdasz create a cohesive sound, particularly convincing on the tracks "Daję ci próg", "Rzeka dzieciństwa" and the extended "Karate". The album achieved gold record status in 1974 and to this day remains a classic of Polish blues rock. -

Without doubt, this second album by the band, recorded with Józef Skrzek (bass, piano) and Włodzimierz Nahorny (saxophone, flute), is among the best achievements of Tadeusz Nalepa. Musically it is a combination of the psychedelic playing from the first album, the classic blues-rock known from the band's later records, and at times you can even hear slight influences of Led Zeppelin and jazz. This box set is an exceptionally comprehensive overview of the work of Breakout, one of the most important bands in Polish rock. It is released as a collector's cardboard box containing 10 discs and 10 cards with the album covers: 1. Na drugim brzegu tęczy (1969), 2. 70a (1970), 3. Mira Kubasińska & Breakout (1971), 4. Blues (1971), 5. Karate (1972), 6. Ogień (1973), 7. Kamienie (1974), 8. NOL – Niezidentyfikowany Obiekt Latający (1976), 9. ZOL – Zidentyfikowany Obiekt Latający (1979), 10. Żagiel ziemi (1980). These are hybrid SACDs that also contain a standard CD Audio layer, so they can also be played in a traditional CD player. The SACD layer, on the other hand, will be played by suitable equipment that supports this format. -
