Crni Biseri was formed in Belgrade in 1963 and was among the pioneers of Yugoslav rock and roll. This edition is a compilation covering repertoire from 1969-1970 – from simple beat sound to more extended arrangements of the later period of the band's activity. The set of 23 recordings shows the band above all as a capable guitar group, which skilfully combined its own compositions with interpretations of world hits characteristic of the era. An edition in a triple gatefold card sleeve (mini LP). -
DRUGI NACIN - DRUGI NACIN - Drugi Nacin +6 - ITA Eastern Time Expanded Edition - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Released in 1975, an excellent debut album by a Yugoslav hard rock, progressive group modelling itself on the work of British groups such as Uriah Heep, Deep Purple and Jethro Tull (the latter recalled by the occasional flute parts), but at moments resembling the heavier bands from Italy. The whole thing can be listened to in one breath! In addition tracks from very rare yet excellent singles are included. Highly recommended! -
GRUPA 220 - GRUPA 220 - Nasi Dani - Croatia Records Digipack Edition - LISTENprice: 70,00 PLN / 17,50 EUR
The debut album by a band from Croatia, from 1968, being the first rock record in what was then Yugoslavia. 2018 edition, in a digipak. -
GRUPA 220 - GRUPA 220 - Slike - EU Digipack Edition - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
A superb album from the former Yugoslavia, on a par with the debuts of Time and Yu Grupa, and beating, for example, Bijelo Dugme! Airy guitar, quite heavy (though at moments somewhat Wishbone Ash-like) playing with elements of prog-rock - decidedly in the British style and sounding more like 1971 than 1974! The Yugoslav vocals are very decent - somewhat hidden behind the instruments they sound almost English... Highly recommended! (JL) -
GRUPA DAH - GRUPA DAH - Veliki Cirkus +9 - ITA Eastern Time Expanded Edition - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
On CD for the first time! Released in 1974, the debut album by this Yugoslav group contained fairly original, hard-progressive material with a sizeable dose of instrumental passages, resembling early Yu Grupa, though delivered at a somewhat slower tempo (especially in the first part). This record will without a doubt satisfy all lovers of Yugo rock! It is one of the 3-5 rarest and most expensive vinyls from the former Yugoslavia - worth up to 400 dollars in perfect condition! This excellent-sounding CD has been supplemented with eight tracks from very good, rare singles and one live track. Highly recommended! (JL) -
GRUPA NEPOCIN (see also: Drugi Nacin) - GRUPA NEPOCIN - Svijet po kojem gazim +6 - ITA Eastern Time Expanded Edition - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
This is the band Drugi Nacin under a changed name! Very nice, progressive playing combining, in a way, the style of Uriah Heep with Jethro Tull. The album was released in 1977, but sounds like 1973-1974! In addition, six tracks from singles! It is an ideal complement to the album by the group Drugi Nacin! Highly recommended! -

Igra Staklenih Perli is a very good Yugoslav formation from Belgrade, whose second album, released in 1980, still contained five space-rock, progressive tracks resembling the output of Hawkwind, Pink Floyd, Eloy, Can, and even early Gong. KORNELYANS (see also: Korni Grupa) - KORNELYANS - Not An Ordinary Life - US Press - LISTENprice: 130,00 PLN / 32,50 EUR
Reissue of the debut album, released in 1974, by the Yugoslav formation Kornelyans. In truth it was the second record by the band Korni Grupa! Recorded in Italy with English lyrics, the album belongs to the very top of art-rock playing from the former Eastern Bloc! Stylistically it resembles the then output of the Finnish group Wigwam, that is, playing close to Focus, Traffic, Procol Harum and Caravan - and that is probably recommendation enough! New, sealed, red vinyl. -

Remastered and great-sounding Italian edition of the debut album by a cult Yugoslav group, combining the style of Black Sabbath and Deep Purple with elements of ballad and prog rock in the vein of Pink Floyd. This is juicy, dynamic guitar playing with distinct drums and a nice, overdriven bass. In addition twelve very rare tracks from vinyl singles are included (you can sometimes hear it) and for that alone the publisher deserves praise. Highly recommended! (JL) -

TIME (YU) - TIME - Time (1st Album +4) - ITA Eastern Time Remastered Expanded - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
Remastered and genuinely fantastic-sounding edition of the excellent debut album, released in 1972, by a Yugoslav, progressive formation. Today it is hard to believe, but in Yugoslavia, dominated by single releases, it was only the second LP (full-length record) of rock music released in that country! A few years earlier only the pop rock debut of Grupa 220 had had that honour. To tell the truth it is hard to define the music of Time, but one can probably risk a comparison with Traffic, Procol Harum, Focus, and even Atomic Rooster on sleeping pills. In addition two great live recordings lasting 23 minutes in total and two tracks from the brand new 1973 single are included. A MUST! -
TIME (YU) - Time - Time (1st Album) - Croatia Recordsprice: 150,00 PLN / 37,50 EUR
This is the debut album, from 1972, of the Yugoslav group Time – one of the most important progressive rock bands in the region. The sound is extended and ambitious – long compositions, changing tempos, Hammond organ parts and the expressive vocal of the band's leader, who was Dado Topić. Time were often compared to Western prog rock groups of the early 70s, such as Deep Purple or Blood, Sweat & Tears (although they retained their own, Balkan character). An anniversary edition, new and sealed. -

VARIOUS ARTISTS - VARIOUS ARTISTS - Pop Festival Ljubljana 1972 - Croatia Recordsprice: 180,00 PLN / 45,00 EUR
"Pop festival Ljubljana 72" – is a double live album, a recording of one of the most important music festivals of former Yugoslavia, which took place in 1972 in the Tivoli hall in Ljubljana. It documents performances by leading artists of the Yugoslav rock and pop scene of the early 70s. The festival is sometimes called "the Yugoslav Woodstock" – it was a symbol of openness to Western sounds, youth counterculture and the development of the local rock scene. An anniversary edition, new, sealed. -
YU GRUPA - YU GRUPA - Kako To Da Svaki Dan? (2nd Album) +4 - ITA Eastern Time Remastered & Expanded - VERY RAREprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
To tell the truth I do not recall a CD edition of this title, but perhaps I missed it... In any case the Italian Eastern Time has released the excellent second album by the Yugoslavs, playing in 1974 their own heavy rock for two lead guitars with strong influences of Led Zeppelin, Bad Company and Wishbone Ash. The album is in no way inferior to the debut album, and in addition four great tracks from singles of the time are included. Highly recommended!
