LEŚNIEWSKI, JACEK - JACEK LEŚNIEWSKI - BRYTYJSKI ROCK w latach 1961-1979 - Przewodnik płytowy - TOM 1 (A-F) + AUTOGRAF AUTORAprice: 229,00 PLN / 57,25 EUR
Writing the first volume (A-F) of the record guide to British rock took me nearly 3 years, but it was probably worth it! On 520 COLOUR pages I have included over 1000 record reviews (often track by track) of as many as 360 artists active in the British Isles in the 60s and 70s. Printed on thick, coated paper, the book contains as many as 1700 colour reproductions (6cm by 6 cm) of the covers of original LPs, singles, EPs and CDs, as well as scans of first-edition vinyl labels only for selected releases (Vertigo, Harvest, Island, Deram etc). Additionally, at the end of each entry I have included full discographies (up to and including 1979) of catalogue albums (the A and B sides of all singles appear in the text instead), and I have also listed the more important CDs with archive material. I wrote this book for myself too, so I really put my back into it! Oh, and I have rated every title subjectively (on a scale of 1-10) - which can be very useful when hunting for records. If anyone would like a signature/dedication - I will gladly do it! We do not send the book together with records, as it is hard to pack them safely together. WHEN BUYING BOTH VOLUMES - FREE SHIPPING! AND ONE MORE NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR: In November 2026 the third volume of British Rock, 2/3 complete, will finally reach the shops! Note! The print run of the second volume is slowly running out, so that nobody can say they regret it later :-) -
LEŚNIEWSKI, JACEK - JACEK LEŚNIEWSKI - BRYTYJSKI ROCK w latach 1961-1979 - Przewodnik płytowy - TOM 2 (G-J) + AUTOGRAF AUTORAprice: 279,00 PLN / 69,75 EUR
Fifteen years have passed since the first volume was published. It is a fact that is hard to argue with, or to find anything in my defence... It is very likely that I came close to a world record for the length of the wait for the continuation of a series, and perhaps I should apply to the Guinness Book of Records myself :-) OK, joking aside... I am genuinely sorry that with such a long wait, full of missed deadlines, to put it colloquially, I 'overdid it' and disappointed legions of fans of top-quality rock, and for this I genuinely and sincerely apologise! The second volume probably was not worth waiting a full 15 years for, but I confess that it is the best writing of my life! I wrote the book, which runs to nearly 700 pages, completely anew in the last 18 months! On exactly 688 COLOUR pages (that is 168 more than in the first volume) I included over 1000 record reviews (this time mostly track by track!) of as many as 250 artists active in the British Isles in the 60s and 70s. Additionally I added the most important, concise information on the artists' careers, line-up changes and sometimes even an anecdote... Generally, the second volume is a little more narrative than its predecessor and not just a plain 'no frills' description of records. So I devoted 36 pages to Genesis, 24 pages to Jimi Hendrix, 23 each to Jethro Tull and The Hollies, 19 to Elton John, 17 pages to Hawkwind, and even The Incredible String Band took up 11 pages and Henry Cow over 4... Printed on thick, coated paper, the book contains nearly 2400 specially selected colour reproductions (6 cm by 6 cm) of the covers of original LPs, singles, EPs and CDs, as well as scans of only the first editions of selected vinyl labels. Additionally, at the end of each entry I included complete discographies (up to and including 1979) of catalogue albums (the A and B sides of all the singles appear in the text, however) and also listed the more important CDs with archive material. The more popular artists are covered up to the end of the 80s - with photographs of catalogue records and sometimes even singles! In some cases I covered important titles from the significant year 1980 - track by track. Oh, and I rated every title subjectively (on a scale of 1-10) - which can be very useful when hunting for records. If anyone would like a signature/dedication - I will do it with pleasure! We do not send the book together with records, as it is difficult to pack them together safely. 'Brytyjski Rock' is available only at Megadisc and from the Kagra publishing house and will not be available at Empik or in any other bookshop! AND ONE MORE NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR: In November 2026 the third volume of British Rock, 2/3 complete, will finally reach the shops! Attention! The print run of the second volume is slowly running out, so that nobody can say they will regret it later :-) Enjoy the reading! JACEK LEŚNIEWSKI -

NIEMEN - NIEMEN - In Italy 1969-1970 - ITALIAN Limited Press - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 120,00 PLN / 30,00 EUR
First time on a full-size vinyl record! Released in a limited run in Italy, superb, perfect-sounding, over 50-minute, unique material originally recorded by Niemen in Italy (first with the band Akwarele and then with Enigmatic) between February 1969 and March 1970. Produced in a very attractive, gatefold sleeve (containing inside the designs of all the significant Italian releases with Niemen's recordings and a copy of a rare, promotional poster), the vinyl gathers fifteen recordings - including six from the very rare and fan-sought three monophonic singles on the CGD label (though "Io Senza Lei", that is "Dziwny jest ten świat", is here in a rare stereo mix); then three previously unreleased tracks from unique compilations (recorded with Enigmatic), two previously unreleased demo recordings from February 1969 (one sung in English) and four unpublished, live pieces from May 1969 ('covers' of foreign classics, such as "Jumpin' Jack Flash" or "Hey Jude"), from a performance in a small Roman club. After 1970 none of the nine studio, Italian-language recordings ever appeared on any format, either in Poland or in Italy! The sound quality is perfect (better than on YouTube!), although the live recordings taken from the mixing desk have certain limitations, they still sound far better than the versions sometimes available on the internet. This is an absolutely obligatory item for every single lover, without exception, of the work of both Niemen and classic Polish rock! AN ABSOLUTE MUST! Condition: NEW, SEALED (with a sticker on the shrink-wrap). -
LP
NIEMEN - NIEMEN - Live In Opole 1971 - SPA Red Circle Press - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
A superb, perfectly sounding (the sound comes from the mixing desk), hour-long recording made at the Opole festival in July 1971. Released in a very attractive gatefold sleeve, the vinyl contains only five extended tracks - including two suites: "Bema pamięci żałobny rapsod" and "Człowiek jam niewdzięczny". Czesław was accompanied by the musicians behind the 'Red Album' - with Mikuła and Jaśkiewicz in the leading roles. To tell the truth, it is hard to understand why this wonderful concert never came out in Poland - perhaps because it spent all those years in private hands... A MUST! -
LP
NIEMEN - NIEMEN - On Stage 1970-1972 - SPA Red Circle Press - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 100,00 PLN / 25,00 EUR
An hour of excellent-sounding material recorded by two line-ups of the band Niemen: 20 minutes at the Jazz Jamboree festival in 1970 (the line-up from the 'Red Album') and 40 minutes in Opole in 1972 (Czesław + the future SBB and Helmut Nadolski and Andrzej Przybielski). A revelation! A 2019 Spanish edition. -
LP
NIEMEN - NIEMEN - Live In Helsinki 1973 - GER Green Tree Press - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
Released in Germany by Green Tree Records (the label responsible for the reissues of four CBS records from 1972-1974), unreleased, very good-sounding 40-minute material, recorded by the band Niemen (Czesław + the entire future SBB) at a concert in Helsinki in June 1973. Very good and noise-free sound (greatly improved compared with the somewhat muddy version known from the film footage). In addition, two fragments, lasting ten minutes in total, from the 'Olympic' concert in Munich in August 1972: "Puppets (Marionetki)" and the very short "Figo-Fago" (that is, the classic blues standard "Rollin' And Tumblin' " known from Cream's performance, among others). A MUST! Condition: New, sealed. -

NURT - NURT - Nurt - POL Digipack Limited Edition - LISTENprice: 125,00 PLN / 31,25 EUR
The band's only album, now cult, from 1972. Nurt's music was, on the drab Polish market, a very invigorating combination of the style of late psychedelia/early progressive rock (frequent changes of rhythm and mood, plenty of flute, guitar sounding like a sitar) with heavy guitar rock. In our opinion, alongside the debut of Breakout, Niemen's "Enigmatic", the Skaldowie's "Krywań, Krywań" and Grechuta's "Korowód", it is one of the five best Polish rock records of the 60s and 70s! 2003 edition, in a digipak.
