AUNT MARY - AUNT MARY - Janus - EU Sun King Limited Press - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
A new, European reissue of the third album, released in 1973 by Vertigo, by an excellent Norwegian band, once in the absolute top ranks of progressive rock from Scandinavia. It was a logical development of the second album in their discography, the brilliant LP "Loaded", although it was a somewhat gentler work, with plenty of Hammonds, a solid rhythm section and original melodies. The last ten minutes are progressive mastery of the world! The original Norwegian vinyl in perfect condition costs 800 euros, so it is probably worth investing 3% of that amount in an almost identical-looking, attractive edition in a gatefold sleeve and with great sound. A must! (JL) Condition: New, sealed. -
AUNT MARY - AUNT MARY - Loaded +3 - FRA Absinthe Expanded Limited Press - VERY RAREprice: 110,00 PLN / 27,50 EUR
Released by Philips in 1972, and now reissued in France, the second LP in the discography, "Loaded" (in perfect condition and with the limited poster, worth over 2000 euros on the original Philips vinyl), is without doubt the best hard-progressive album ever made in Norway and at the same time in the top three of Scandinavian rock! A very dynamic, rock sound based on the interplay of guitars, organ and a very juicy rhythm section. Looseness and precision at the same time - these qualities characterised many bands from the North. In addition, three tracks from the first two singles have been placed on the vinyl, including the fantastic "Stop Your Wishful Thinking", built on a very catchy riff - probably the band's strongest track! Excellent sound quality and excellent, clean pressing! A MUST! (JL) -
AUNT MARY - AUNT MARY - Aunt Mary / Janus (1970-1973) - US Digipack Edition - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
The third and first albums of the excellent Norwegian group on a single CD. "Janus" (1973) was a logical development of the second in the discography, the brilliant LP "Loaded", although it was a somewhat gentler work, with plenty of Hammond, a solid rhythm section and original melodies. The last ten minutes are progressive mastery of the highest order! The debut, recorded in 1970, in turn showed a fascination with early Traffic and Procol Harum. A very decent record, though not as striking as the next two. Both titles are worth around 400-1000 euros on vinyl, so this is certainly an economical purchase! Very good sound quality! Highly recommended! (JL) -
AUNT MARY - AUNT MARY - Loaded +4 - AUS Progressive Line Expanded Edition - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
A fantastic band from Norway! The second in their discography, "Loaded" is without a doubt top three of Scandinavian rock! A very dynamic, rock sound based on the interplay of guitars, organ and a very juicy rhythm section. Ease and precision at the same time - these were the traits of many bands from the North. Additionally four tracks from the first two singles, including the fantastic, riffing "Stop Your Wishful Thinking" - without a doubt the band's strongest track ever! Excellent sound quality! A MUST! -
BAZAR - BAZAR - Drabantbyrock - Guerssen Recordsprice: 85,00 PLN / 21,25 EUR
The second and without doubt best album by the Norwegian band Bazar, one of the more important groups of 70s Scandinavian progressive rock. The music combines psychedelic hard rock with elements of prog rock, with characteristic wah-wah guitars, organ and melodic singing in Norwegian. New, sealed. -
JUNIPHER GREENE - JUNIPHER GREENE - Friendship - SWE Flawed Gems Remastered Edition - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
This album, released in 1971 by Sonet Records (on double vinyl), is the best progressive TITLE from Norway, and also belongs in the TOP 5 of Scandinavian classic rock! Attention! This CD, of over an hour, contains superb, cool (but romantic) and very precise playing (with Hammond and occasional flute) typical of groups from Scandinavia and Germany (such as Aunt Mary, Murphy Blend or Out Of Focus). The last part of the record is filled by the 26-minute title suite! Excellent sound quality! A curiosity: the label did not want to agree to produce an expensive, two-disc album by an unknown group, so the band paid for the pressing of... the second vinyl and as a result had to pay extra for the 'business'. Hence the original, vinyl edition (worth nearly 1000 euros in great condition) contains one rather heavy vinyl and one very thin one... AN ABSOLUTE MUST! -

POPOL VUH (NOR prog) (see also: Popol Ace) - POPOL VUH - Popol Vuh - SWE Flawed Gems Edition - VERY RARE - LISTENprice: 60,00 PLN / 15,00 EUR
ATTENTION! This is not the German, krautrock Popol Vuh, but a Norwegian progressive formation playing music close to the style of early Genesis, King Crimson, Focus, Jethro Tull and the Mahavishnu Orchestra! In 1975 the band changed its name to Popol Ace. The debut, released in 1972, contains, among others, one of the BEST PROGRESSIVE TRACKS IN THE HISTORY OF THE GENRE, that is, the mellotron-laden and simply tear-jerking (sorry) "For Eternity"! For this brilliant and incredibly atmospheric track alone you simply MUST have this CD, which is very good and superbly recorded anyway! Highly recommended! -
