WOODY KERN - Awful Disclosures Of Maria Monk +2 - SWE Flawed Gems Remastered Expanded - LISTEN - VERY RARE

Excellent-sounding edition, mastered from the original vinyl, of ONE of the TEN BEST LITTLE-KNOWN BRITISH PROGRESSIVE ALBUMS from the TURN OF THE 60s and 70s! That is no exaggeration! Released in January 1969, the formation's unfortunately only LP is an excellent combination of the then so invigorating mixture of late psychedelia and early, blues- and jazz-based prog rock, close to the output of Jethro Tull, very early Family, Spirit and Captain Beefheart. Nice flute and saxophone parts, jazzy guitar, a dreamy, psychedelic vocal and frenzied, very spacious, but solid sound of the rhythm section. A wonderful and at the same time still totally underrated record to this day (even by my fellow writer Richard Morton-Jack...). 56 minutes of intense and unforgettable experiences! This edition sounds much cleaner than the Sanctuary CD version, also taken from vinyl, and slightly better than the Free Records CD. In addition two mono versions from a very rare single. The drummer visible on the front of the sleeve later played in the progressive formation Whichwhat - also released by Flawed Gems. An absolute MUST!
