WISHBONE ASH - Live Dates Volume Two (1976-1980) - AUT Enigmatic Edition - LISTEN - VERY RARE

On CD for the first time! An excellent double album recorded during various performances by the quartet in 1976-1980 and released by MCA in 1980 - it has finally got its CD debut! This Austrian CD, made under licence from Universal, contains exactly 80 minutes of music and compared with the vinyl edition is shorter by... a minute or two in total of long ovations at the beginning and end of the record and several seconds of applause between tracks. Importantly, unlike the vinyl edition, the CD has no gaps between tracks, and the individual pieces (or rather the applause) flow smoothly into one another, which gives Live Dates Vol. 2 much more drama. As for the music, there is no need to praise it! The band was in excellent form, and the fantastic sound quality only contributes to an even better experience of this rock classic! I admit that I have never heard Wishbone Ash sound so good and clear on CD! This edition sounds much better than the somewhat muddy Real Gone label CD. Highly recommended! (JL)
