VARIOUS ARTISTS - Patterns On The Window - British Progressive Pop Sounds Of 1974 (3CD BOX) - UK Grapefruit Edition - LISTEN

A three-disc set containing an overview of the British music scene of 1974. We have here representatives of glam rock (Sparks, Cockney Rebel, Roxy Music, T.Rex, Slade), pub rock (Brinsley Schwarz, Kilburn & The High Roads, Ace, Dr. Feelgood), folk rock (Richard & Linda Thompson, Bridget St. John, Lesley Duncan), as well as outstanding individualists such as Peter Hammill or Kevin Coyne. The whole thing in a rigid box, with an attractive, richly illustrated 48-page booklet. Highly recommended! (MU)
