VARIOUS ARTISTS - NWOBHM (New Wave Of British Heavy Metal) At The BBC - 'Friday Rock Show' Volume 2 - 1980-1982 (2LP) - UK Maida Vale / Verne LIMITED Press - LISTEN - VERY RARE

The radio programme "Friday Rock Show", hosted by the legendary DJ Tommy Vance, played a significant role in the early 80s in cementing the popularity of the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal movement. All the tracks were recorded live (with minor overdubs) on excellent equipment and with the best British producers at the BBC Maida Vale studios in London. This fantastic, 115-minute double compilation contains complete, generally 13-18-minute recording sessions (in excellent sound quality) by seven classic bands of the movement, recorded in the period from May 1980 to January 1982. Alongside renowned names such as Girlschool, Diamond Head, Raven or Vardis, we have here such sensations as Sweet Savage (with the young guitarist Vivian Campbell - later in Dio, and for years in Def Leppard) known, among other things, for the track "Killing Time" covered by Metallica in 1991 (later on the LP "Garage Days"), the excellent More (with Iron Maiden's first vocalist!) known from two albums for Atlantic Records and the underrated Black Axe - better known under the name Wolf and the LP "End Of The World" (1984). This beautifully produced, double album contains only music (complete recordings - to the second) - without any announcements! Traditional heavy rock/early metal cannot be better! The sound and pressing quality is excellent! It is an absolute MUST! NEW, SEALED.
