A classic of British metal - now in an anniversary, two-disc edition. Solid, guitar-driven, juicy playing in the old style - with light elements of progression. CD1 contains the original, nine-track album The Son of Odin, while the second disc has bonus recordings: 11 tracks, including four from the BBC Radio 1 Friday Rock Show session from 1986, material from the single Treachery (Ride Like the Wind) from 1985, demo recordings from 1984 and 1985 and "Chariot of the Gods" from the album sessions. The vinyl version of Elixir's debut record is already a sought-after rarity; on CD, however, metal fans can invest blind! Recommended!
