SPIROGYRA - Future Won't Be Long - Albums 1971-1973 (3CD) - UK Esoteric Edition

A three-disc set in a rigid box, containing the albums: "St. Radigunds" from 1971, "Old Boot Wine" (with four bonus tracks) from 1972 and "Bells, Boots And Shambles" from 1973. The English band played ambitious folk rock in the style of the gentler work of Trees, Incredible String Band and Mellow Candle. It was very subtle music with the excellent vocalist Barbara Gaskin (later the wife of Dave Stewart of Egg) in the foreground. The band used a wide range of instruments, including violin, often wandering into typically progressive territory.
