SILK - Smooth As Raw Silk - US Digipack Edition - LISTEN - VERY RARE

Released in 1969, a great, unfortunately only, album by an American band combining, in a rather unique fashion, somewhat heavy guitar-and-organ sounds with elegantly arranged pop-psychedelia. The guitarist of the group Ford Theatre appeared on several tracks. This rather exceptional record, though requiring a few listens, will appeal to all lovers of the sounds of the late 60s and the records of the Rev-Ola and Fallout labels. Highly recommended! (JL)
