RENAISSANCE - Renaissance (1st Album) - GER Repertoire Remastered 180g Press - LISTEN

Renaissance is an English band combining elements of rock, folk and classical music. Great arrangements, very melodic compositions, symphonic sweep. An excellent progressive debut from 1969 (with psychedelic touches) - with Keith Relf (ex-Yardbirds) on vocals! Also appearing on the record: the former Yardbirds drummer Jim McCarthy, the future bassist of Colosseum and Steamhammer Louis Cennamo, and the future keyboardist of The Strawbs John Hawken. After the second record the band radically changed its line-up, but the music remained almost the same. Excellent sound! Highly recommended! (JL)
