OSIBISA - In Concert 1972 - FRA On The Air Edition - VERY RARE

An 80-minute, unofficial item coming mainly from a London performance recorded in February 1972, promoting the LP "Woyaya", recorded by the BBC and released by its Transcription Service in a hundred copies, intended for radio stations. The sound quality of this 52-minute performance is perhaps even better than the studio albums, and the band itself was in excellent form and played with great passion! One track comes from the Puerto Rican festival Mar Y Sol, and the last two from a festival in the Austrian Klagenfurt - all with very good quality sound, though minimally worse than that from the BBC. No track is played twice, so the whole is superb to listen to - like an old double album! I highly recommend this CD, limited to 500 copies, to all fans of progressive jazz rock! (JL)
