OMEGA - X - Az Arc +5 - Hungarian Grund Records Edition - LISTEN

A remastered Hungarian CD from 2022. Released in 1981, the tenth, Hungarian album was a considerable and rather unpleasant surprise for Omega fans because it was characterised by a modern, electronic sound, where synthesisers and extended keyboard parts played as important a role as guitars. The album in part still retained a progressive, hard rock character, but at the same time contained more compact and accessible compositions than those on earlier records. On the other hand the music is anyway miles better than that nightmarish, off-putting sleeve... Additionally 5 live bonus tracks are included, presenting Omega's best-known pieces in 'live' versions. Worth the risk!
