MIGHTY BABY - Mighty Baby +5 - UK Big Beat Expanded Edition - LISTEN

An excellent and absolutely classic debut by a legend of the British underground - descended from the group The Action, adored in the British Isles. Made in 1969, the album was a combination of guitar-driven psychedelic rock of the early Quicksilver kind with early raw prog rock of the Quintessence and East Of Eden kind (saxophone, flute, elements of oriental music). Alongside the delicate moods there is plenty of dense, improvised playing here! This album genuinely deserves to be rediscovered! Additionally five fantastic recordings made in 1968 (still under the name Action), but released only in 1985 on a mini LP. A must! (JL)
