HARD MEAT - Hard Meat - GER Long Hair Press - LISTEN

The debut album by a British band playing very subtle, though as a rule quite dynamic, progressive, guitar-and-organ tracks with acoustic touches. The Brits mixed all kinds of genres: rock, folk, blues and psychedelia and wonderful things came out of it! Melodic compositions, sometimes reaching ten minutes - as a rule, however, much shorter. The band's music brings to mind The Strawbs (with sharp guitar), the Danish Culpeper's Orchard, Jethro Tull, CSN&Y and late The Beatles. German edition in a gatefold sleeve. A MUST! (JL)
