HAMMERS OF MISFORTUNE - August Engine - EU Metal Blade Digipack Edition - LISTEN

Metal Blade reissue of the second album by the formation led by the former (and then current) guitarist and the guitarist/vocalist of Slough Feg! Whereas SF combined classic NWOBHM-style metal with melodic thrash and Celtic folk, HOM is clearly fascinated by progressive rock (especially on the next album); though the 'second' is as metal as can be - in the traditional sense of the word. The result is very eclectic music - from delicate ballads, through power metal blasts, all the way to a purely doom metal, extended finale. Sensational!
