GOBLIN - Roller - AMS Records Press

Musically Roller is a combination of progressive rock with jazz-rock freedom and a characteristic, slightly dark atmosphere. Analogue synthesisers dominate (including Moog-style sounds), a dense, "walking" bass and precise, dynamic drumming. The pieces are extended, full of changes of tempo and mood — from pulsating, almost funky passages to spacious, trance-like keyboard passages. Guitars appear sparingly, more often building tension than playing classic riffs. It is an instrumental album, but very "cinematic" — the tension builds gradually, the melodies are hypnotic, and the whole sounds like a soundtrack to a non-existent science fiction thriller. New, sealed.
