GENESIS - Live At The Rainbow 1973 - Original Master (No Overdubs) (2CD) - SPA Top Gear Expanded Edition - VERY RARE

Brilliant two-disc CD, limited to 500 copies and lasting over 150 minutes, containing the perfect-sounding, full, legendary concert from the Rainbow Theatre in London, recorded in October 1973 (during the tour promoting the LP "Selling England By The Pound"). Half of this material once came out on the official box set "Genesis Archives 1967-75", but unfortunately the band spoiled the whole thing in many places by inserting new Hackett guitar parts and Gabriel vocals! This is the uncut, ideal, 100-minute version sounding like a dream! And please look at the set of tracks!!! On the second disc four rarities are included, above all the suite "Supper's Ready" (in ideal quality), recorded in February 1973, which at the last moment did not fit on the LP "Genesis Live"! Besides that, there are two outtakes from the sessions for "Selling England" (including an excellent, almost psychedelic improvisation) and, from Rome, a charming live version of the single "Twilight Alehouse", from April 1972. To write an absolute must is not enough! (JL)
