ELECTRIC PRUNES - Then Came The Dawn - Complete Recordings 1966-1969 (6CD BOX) - UK Grapefruit Remastered Edition

A six-disc box set containing all the recordings of the cult American band. The albums "Electric Prunes" and "Underground" from 1967 and "Mass In F Minor" from 1968 are included here in both stereo and mono versions (the third of them for the first time on CD as mono). The rest are "Release Of An Oath" from 1968 and "Just Good Old Rock And Roll" from 1969. The fifth CD contains single tracks and alternative versions of recordings, and the last disc is taken up by: the live "Stockholm 67" (45 minutes from 14 December 1967, from the archives of Swedish radio, with very good sound quality and superb playing by the band) and four demo tracks. The whole thing in a rigid box, with a booklet containing an extensive history of the band by Gray Newell, including detailed recollections of the original vocalist James Lowe and a key member of the band's later incarnation, Richard Whetstone. A MUST! (MU)
