DEEP PURPLE - Live In Osaka 1973 - SPA Top Gear - LISTEN - VERY RARE

A limited, very rare, 80-minute CD with an excellent, complete show from Osaka on 29 June 1973. It was the HISTORIC FAREWELL CONCERT OF THE LINE-UP WITH IAN GILLAN AND ROGER GLOVER (please listen to Ian's goodbye to the fans on the final track) and also the last date of the second Japanese tour (a year after the recording of the LP "Made In Japan"). The setlist is identical to the classic MIJ, but the playing is a little different. I recommend the excellent, extended "Space Truckin'", altered because it is combined with "The Mule" - "Lazy", as well as a brilliant version of "Child In Time" - played at almost double speed, with an incredibly fast and completely changed guitar solo from Blackmore! The sound quality of this fairly professional audience recording is very good, though not flawless. It is a great pleasure to listen to from start to finish! A must! (JL)
