Released in a beautiful, gatefold, laminated sleeve (inside which are several nice photos of the band), a single European vinyl, LIMITED TO 500 COPIES, containing the first recorded concert with the then-new vocalist Ian Gillan, which took place at the end of August 1969 at the Paradiso club in Amsterdam! This superb 60-minute vinyl contains, among other things, an early version of Speed King (here as the 9-minute 'Kneel & Pray') and - leaving aside the version from the LP 'Made In Japan' - probably the best and brilliantly sung performance of 'Child In Time' - a full 8 months before the release of the LP 'In Rock'! The sound quality is excellent (the source was a broadcast from Dutch radio in 1987), although in 'Kneel And Pray' the sound engineers could not cope with the balance (no guitar for half the recording), while 'Mandrake Root' was faded out after 5 minutes. Fortunately, however, the publisher very neatly worked in an additional 5 minutes from the Essen show of September 1969. The black vinyl is perfectly pressed and sounds even better than the excellent CD version! A must! Condition: NEW
