ATLANTIDE - Francesco Ti Ricordi - EU Once Again Limited Edition - VERY RARE - LISTEN

A limited European reissue, awaited on CD for over 20 years, of the only album, from 1976, by an Italian hard-progressive band playing in the style of classic Deep Purple, the debut of Jane, Satin Whale and early Beggars Opera. The album contains seven tracks sung in Italian (though there are few vocals), lasting from 5 to 11 minutes and built on the interplay of organ and pleasantly overdriven guitar. The whole thing sounds decidedly more like 1974 than 1976. This competently arranged album, full of catchy compositions, will delight all fans of the genre! The band consisted of... four brothers, and the whole thing was created in Germany, where the Sanseverino family lived. This powerful album came out as a private pressing limited to 500 copies and today is worth around 500 euros! A must! (JL)
