ALFIE SHEPHERD - Wind In The Willows - A Musical Adaptation - UK Wooden Hill - LISTEN

The guitarist was the leader and main composer of the pop-psychedelic formation Angel Pavement. A transcription of the children's book Wind In The Willows (whose seventh chapter bore the telling name 'Piper At The Gates Of Dawn'...), recorded in autumn 1969 as a demo tape, was to be developed by the band, but unfortunately that never happened. This beautifully presented CD is filled with delicate, melodic music (guitar and vocals) somewhat in the style of the calmer passages of Alice Through The Looking Glass. Plus 10 tracks from 1970-71.
