A BOLHA - Um Passo A Frente - US Lion Edition - LISTEN

American edition (with a 20-page booklet) of probably one of the three or four most interesting rock records from Brazil - and for a fan of heavier, progressive sounds, without a doubt the best! The debut album, released in 1973, contained a fairly clear and very well produced mixture of heavy guitar sounds, partly acoustic ballads and rather meaty progressive playing with keyboards and the occasional saxophone and flute. Of the 7 tracks, two last as long as 10 minutes each and two more 6 minutes. All in all, this is music that is atypical for that region - sounding more like... a Portuguese-language album from Yugoslavia (e.g. the Time debut)... Plus 2 excellent, heavy rock bonus tracks from a rare single from 1971. Highly recommended!
