METHUSELAH (see also: Amazing Blondel) - METHUSELAH - Matthew, Mark, Luke & John - EU Digipack - VERY RARE
A long-awaited digipak reissue of the great, but sadly only, album by this British progressive band, released in 1969 only in the USA by the cult label Elektra. It is hard to describe this eclectic, highly varied, guitar-driven album, which is somewhat reminiscent of the debut by Blonde On Blonde and of the only album by the excellent but underappreciated group Plus. There is a bit of everything on it: late psychedelia, plenty of changing moods, and a lot of heavy sounds interwoven with acoustic passages. The album is worth listening to several times, as there is really a lot going on! Highly recommended!
