BLUES IMAGE (see also: Iron Butterfly) - BLUES IMAGE - Open - EU Music On CD Edition - LISTENprice: 70,00 PLN / 17,50 EUR
The second album by a hard blues-rock band (with Latin music influences) from the States, with Mike Pinera (later in Iron Butterfly) on guitar. Nice, guitar-driven playing reminiscent of Iron Butterfly with elements of early Santana. In the States it was a very popular album! 2024 reissue. Recommended! (JL) -
BLUES IMAGE (see also: Iron Butterfly) - BLUES IMAGE - Blues Image / Red White & Blues Image - EU Music On CD Edition - LISTENprice: 70,00 PLN / 17,50 EUR
Two LPs on one CD. A great, blues-psychedelic debut (with light Latin influences) with the dominant sound of organ and the sharp guitar of Mike Pinera (later in Iron Butterfly). The third album was much weaker, more Latin and lighter, though it had some nice moments. Recommended!
