A two-disc, expanded, Australian edition of the album "The Hoax Is Over", by the then most popular Australian band playing in the style of the early Allman Brothers Band. The first disc contains the album from 1971, on which Billy Thorpe & The Aztecs present a heavy, raw sound based on long improvisations. The centrepiece of the record is the monumental, more than twenty-minute version of "Gangster of Love", showing the band in full live energy. It is complemented by, among others, "Mississippi" and "Goodbye Baby", as well as a set of singles and live recordings from the late 60s and early 70s. The second disc has an archival character – it contains previously unreleased demos, live recordings and rare material from 1972–1976. Highly recommended!
