CEREBRUM - CEREBRUM - Eagle Death - Unreleased Album - GER Shadoks 1st Limited Press - LISTEN
I have known the heavy, uncompromising rock band Cerebrum for about 20 years, ever since I bought a double CD in a shop in Majorca that collected 3 bands that once recorded for the Spanish label Dimension-Ekipo: the only LP by the group Pan Y Regaliz (brilliant!), the only album by the German band Evolution (very good) and 2 excellent singles by the aforementioned Cerebrum. Years later the 4 single tracks appeared on vinyl on the Wah-Wah label, and now, at last, Shadoks has prepared a surprise, combining 3 tracks from the singles with a 5-track session from 1969 recorded for local radio (in very good, though not perfect, quality) and a much longer version of the single "Eagle Death"! The music is very dynamic, guitar-driven, strongly psychedelic and full of mood changes; at times it seems that two bands are playing at once! Highly recommended!
