  The debut solo album by the keyboardist who had previously played in Gong (on the albums "Flying Teapot", "Angel's Egg" and "You") and who is a synthesiser specialist. "Crystal Machine" was partly recorded in the studio, while "Last Ride Of The Boogie Child" comes from a performance at the Seasalter Free Festival in England in 1976, and "Synthese Intemporel" is a recording from the Le Palace Theatre in Paris, from 18 February 1977. All the tracks are instrumental and have unhurried tempos, and the album is often classed in the ambient style. The Esoteric edition includes three bonus tracks, one recorded in 1976 at the Chateau d'Herouville studio in France and released on a single under the pseudonym Saratoga Space Messengers and two from a Spanish single released in 1978.
