An album lasting nearly 80 minutes, splendid and priceless from the historical point of view, containing a unique performance by The Beatles (with Ringo Starr on drums) recorded at the legendary Hamburg club in the last week of December 1962. With the EMI-released single "Love Me Do" already to their name, the band had to play/work off performances contracted long before, and it is a musical delight for every fan of the Fab Four! Besides several tracks known even from the LP "Please Please Me", recorded a month later, the group performed a good many pop and rock and roll standards. The sound quality is very good (slightly better than on the original discs, first released in 1977), though not perfect, but everything can be heard excellently! The CD contains the unreleased, almost manic "My Girl Is Red Hot", as well as (as a bonus) "Money" performed by King Size Taylor And The Dominoes, the group accompanying the Beatles. The record will probably never be officially released, because, as a result of years of action by The Beatles, a court ruling withdrew it from the music market. A must! Condition: New, sealed. (JL) -

Fumble was decidedly the classiest British band of the rock'n'roll revival, active in the seventies. The set of four CDs, released in an attractive flip-top box, contains all the band's recordings, including three studio albums, starting with the 1972 debut titled "Hipgnosis" (housed in a memorable Hipgnosis cover), through the very nice follow-up "Poetry In Lotion", which featured several excellent original tracks, as well as a few classic covers. -

Heinz Burt is the bassist of The Tornados, whom Joe Meek persuaded in 1963 to pursue a solo career. "White Tornado" is a five-disc set containing practically all the recordings made by the two of them. All the tracks have been restored and mastered, and over a hundred (!) of them appear for the first time. Highly recommended! (MU) -
