The music of Deep Purple on original vinyl or rare CDs is a real treat for classic rock lovers and collectors looking for unique releases. At Megadisc we offer a wide selection of records from different stages of this legendary band's career, capturing its phenomenal sound in full. These include both cult studio albums and rare live recordings that will take you back to the band's heyday.
Deep Purple – rare vinyl or cult CDs for the discerning connoisseur
In our catalogue you will find various Deep Purple releases on vinyl and CD, impressive not only for their sound but also for their collector's value. Among these exceptional titles, the Japanese first pressing of the legendary 1972 live album "Live in Japan / Made in Japan" stands out. This double vinyl was pressed by Warner Bros on the famous olive-green label. It is an absolute classic, considered by many to be one of the best live albums in rock history.
The impressive Megadisc collection has also been joined by the purple vinyl "Anthology", recorded in 1985 – a double compilation containing the most important tracks, but also ones that had never been released before. Besides the fantastic material, the appeal of this compilation is underlined by the fact that it has never been reissued on CD. This is the first British edition, whose rich colour and collectable character appeal to both the ear and the eye.
For lovers of CDs and vinyl we offer the band's live performances from Los Angeles 1968 (in the original line-up with Evans and Simper), from Amsterdam 1969 and from Montreux in 1969. We also have rare live releases for sale, such as "Fireball On Tour 1971–1972", a limited album documenting energetic performances from the tour promoting the "Fireball" album. It is exceptional live material showing Deep Purple at the peak of their stage form, in the line-up with Gillan and Blackmore, although the sound quality is not ideal.
